- Insufficient filter order: If your filter order is too low, it may not be able to effectively suppress the noise in your signal. Try increasing the order of your filter to improve its performance.
- Wrong filter design: Make sure that you have chosen the correct filter type and parameters for your application. There are many types of filters available, each with its own advantages and disadvantages depending on the signal characteristics and noise characteristics.
- Incorrect filter implementation: Double-check that you have correctly implemented the filter in your Simulink model. A small mistake in the filter coefficients or structure can cause a large degradation in filter performance.
- Insufficient signal-to-noise ratio: If the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of your signal is too low, then even a perfect filter would not be able to recover the original signal without some distortion. Try increasing the SNR of your signal by increasing the transmit power or decreasing the noise power.

i work in simulink matlab with generate 5G signal and add impulsive noise then make a filter for reduce noise , for effective in filter i use EVM error vector magnitude but the results is very high in EVM like : 5 * 10 power 7
any idea?

Hi,
Based on the question, I understand that while working with 5G Signal in Simulink, Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) is used in the model whose value turns out to be too high for the same.
It's difficult to determine the exact cause of the high EVM value without more information about your simulation setup and filter design. However, here are a few possible reasons for the high EVM value and some suggestions to improve the performance of your filter:
In summary, to improve the performance of your filter, you should try increasing the filter order, double-checking the filter design and implementation, increasing the SNR of your signal, minimizing signal distortion, and ensuring that you are correctly calculating the EVM value.
