GREEN color and BROWN COLOR pixel counting in an image

I have plants with green and brown colors. I want to count both green and brown color pixels with different gray levels. If green colour pixels are more than brown colored pixels I have to display it as not optimally grown and if it is of brown colored pixels more than green colored pixels then it should display it as optimally grown..

Can I use histogram plot for this?
