If I interpret the message correctly, you have an Education license of some sort, but the user you are running MATLAB as does not have permission to write into the MATLAB installation directory.
If you were running on Apple MacOS then you would have been prompted to authenaticate as someone with write access to the installation directory.
If you were running on Linux then I am not certain how the authentication is handled.
If you were running on Windows then you are most likely not running as the owner of the system. You might have to Run As Administrator -- or run the MATLAB Installer -- or get IT to install the software for you.
