Comparing one image with a database

Hello everyone

please I need help and this is urgent

I need a code that compares an input image with a database of images, display the % of similarity between the input and each image of the database depending on pixels and finally show the closest matching image

I appreciate your help and forgive me because I already tried everything I can...I'm really new to matlab

Similarity based on what metric? Number of pixels? Color content? Principal components? Linnaean classification of animals in the images? How the images make people feel?
