Accessing Version Details Programmatically, App designer

Hello, In appdesigner there is an option to keep track of the version number for sharing. Is there away to access this programatically. I want to include it in the startup function and display it in the figure name

app.UIFigure.FigureName= ......

Hi Jason,

The version of the app in MATLAB App Designer can't be accessed directly with a property.

As a workaround, you can have a file called VersionNumber.txt in your folder in which you can store the version number. You can then read the file using the function 'fileread' to access the version number.

Thanks for your reply Nick, but unfortunately that wont work for me. I use compiled versions of my GUIs on seperate PC's with different drive structure, so having a single path to read a file won't work.

Its a shame we can't access it within Matlab
