Can I generate a standalone app with a trial license

I am using the trial period of MATLAB to generate a demo app, I would like to generate a standalone version to show the potential. The app i am developping is a mockup to show the potential of MATLAB in my company. The standalone version would be used to confirm the app can be used by other users.

unfortunatelly, the standalone generation is not possible (grayed option). Is this a restriction from the trial license?

Is there any free app/demo I can download to confim app can be deployed on our systems?

I'm pretty sure you cannot compile code into a standalone app with a trial license. And I think some of the cheaper licenses won't even let you include that toolbox.
