Hi
I'm pretty new to matlab and I'm currently trying to create a chirp transmitting signal for a fmcw radar setup in simulink.
The constrains are:
  • transmitting frequency f0 = 2.4 GHz
  • object distance reference = 200 m
  • Maximum bandwidth B = 80 MHz
I have tried using chirp blocks in simulink but the result didn't look like a chirp signal.
any help setting up the chirp signal is much appreciated : )

If you have done something, then show what you did. Then explain why you think there is a problem. If you have nothing to show, then start writing. Asking for help is far easier when you have shown an effort, and far more likely to get useful help.

Hi
my mistake
here is my setup:
and the parameters for the chirp signal:
I think with this target frequency it will get pretty computational expensive
thanks for the patience

I managed to fix it

It would be good if you described how you fixed it?

I calculated a sweeptime of 7.3e-6 and made the following:
that gave me the desired signal. Although I now need to find the beat but hopefully I'll find out. Help to this is appreciated : ) thank you
