Error 1,731: Activations are not allowed when License Management is set to MathWorks hosted license manager.

I downloaded trial version of MatlabR2015a but I can't use it cause afte rinstallation when I try to activate it I get this Error Error 1,731: Activations are not allowed when License Management is set to MathWorks hosted license manager.

How to solve this issue?

Are you trying to now activate it with a real license, or are you trying to use the trial license? If you are using the trial license then I don't think you need to activate. Either way you can contact Installation Support; there is free support for installation issues.

I have the same issue. When starting matlab by terminal, the activation window appears and I can't activate my trial version, I get the same error 1731. Can we have an answer please ?

Does your trial license happen to include Distributed Computing?
