Method to calculate variation in width of a slit

I have imaged a slit of 18 microns by 1 mmm, though the variation in slit width is not uniform. I would like to calculate the variation of the width along the whole 1mm. What is the best method to calculate this ( and possibly even plot) to see if if the variation is too much or less or just OK.
