Stats functions not working using university license on personal machine

I'm having an issue with a stats toolbox function not working. I have R2011a installed using my university license on both my XP desktop and my VISTA laptop. The exprnd() function works fine on the XP machine, but not on the VISTA machine. >> license('test','statistics_toolbox') on the VISTA machine returns a 1, but >> ver does not return an installed version of the statistics toolbox in the list. (The XP machine returns a valid version)

I saw something about adding an OS environment variable in another post but didn't really understand the fix. Any tips?

Maybe try:

addpath(genpath([matlabroot '\toolbox\stats\']))
savepath

Ok, that worked. Thanks. Was the installation supposed to have essentially done the same thing, but perhaps didn't for some reason?

That's possible. It could also be that you accidentally destroyed or removed the path doing something else, I'd say this is more likely.

Btw, now when I run

>> ver

I get two copies of Statistics Toolbox (both version 7.5) listed whereas none where listed before. Any idea why?
