Recently, I have successfully connected my Agilent Tech. DSO-X 3012A oscilloscope to Matlab R2015a and I am using the functions located in the section 'Device Objects' (IV connection) in the Test & Measurement Tool as shown on the left of Figure 1, as shown below.
My problem is that I do not know the best function and/or way to conduct and capture time sweep from the oscilloscope at a user specified sampling rate over a time interval i.e. t[x,y]; given the extensive list of functions...****[The function list I'm referring to is in square-brackets in Figure 1]****. I have tried to find user friendly libraries on the functions but they are no where to be found. Is there a specific function or property I need to modify in order to accomplish this task?
Note: The function that is highlighted in Figure 1 is the 'readwaveform' function; I used it to take a screen capture of the oscilloscope. (It was successful as shown in the response, but I need to capture the data from the scope over a period of time, hence my issue.) I will also leave my modified session log code, Figure 2, that I am running in my Matlab editor so that you can exactly see what I have so far as my interchangeable inputs arguments for the 'readwaveform' function. (If they are needed in this future time sweep)
I want to thank you in advance for your time, explanation, and efforts in helping me tackle this simple yet challenging problem I am facing, have a fantastic day!
- Dylan R.
