I have installed Matlab R2011a and tried to use xlswrite() function, but I am getting error ; Error using xlswrite (line 219), Invoke Error, Dispatch Exception: The parameter is incorrect. I have installed other version of Matlab R2015a err is there?

Please provide the solution asap, Its urgent!! I don't understand why I am getting this error. I have used very simple line as: xlswrite('test.xsls', [12, 0, 4]);

but still I get error as: Error using xlswrite (line 219) Invoke Error, Dispatch Exception: The parameter is incorrect.

I don't understand the issue and I am beginner in Matlab.
