handles.axes1 = subplot(2, 2, 1);
handles.axes2 = subplot(2, 2, 3);
Or manually:
handles.axes1 = axes('Position', [0.1, 0.6, 0.4, 0.35]);
handles.axes2 = axes('Position', [0.1, 0.1, 0.4, 0.35]);

thanks but plot is just 0 0.5 1 how can i change last number

hF(1)=subplot(2,2,1);
hF(2)=subplot(2,2,3);
doc subplot % for details...
You can adjust the default positions if you want them to be somewhat asymmetric rather than exactly equal or somewhat less white space.
