Shall I get some advice about building a strategy tester by Matlab?

I want to build a strategy tester by Matlab to test some strategy on stocks;

I hope this tester can test any strategy on Matlab when I get certain stocks' K lines data; and the tested strategy can give signal---'buy/sell/close' according to the data;

How shall I build this strategy tester better?

Or is there some proper function on Matlab to do this?
