Codes to plot fluid pathlines and streaklines given an example

I am new to matlab. GIVEN say u=cos(t) and v=sin(t), How do I write a code to plot the pathlines and streaklines through the origin(0,0) for values of t=pi/2, pi, 3*pi/2 and 2*pi. These problems have already given me 3 days sleepless nights. I really don't have idea on how to start. Pls help.

Do you mean like this:

t = 0 : pi/2 : 2*pi;
u=cos(t) 
v=sin(t)
plot(t, u, 'r*-');
hold on
plot(t, v, 'bd-');
grid on;
legend('u', 'v');

I'm not sure what exactly you're asking. Do you mean you want something like streamline?
