hiiiii, i use another name for the variable to find the mean value in mean=mean(X).but in mean(X) an error occurred as undefined X.So how can i define the variable X which is number of frames extracted from a video. Can you please explain how the mean value can be calculated.

Why would you bother to find the mean of the number of frames in the video? That would be the mean of a scalar, which would be the scalar itself. If you are processing a number of videos, then count their frames and store the frame count as elements of a vector and take the mean of that vector.
