I am trying to import a simple excel file into R2016a with a date column, time column, and stock price column. I cannot get the date or time to import. The matlab video shows to use a drop down menu for unimportable cells to convert spreadsheet data to a useable matlab function for date and time, but that isn't available to me when i try to do it. this is super aggravating. i can't do any work with matlab until this gets figured out.

Try using readtable()
