While code conversion from Simulink to C code, does data type affects the C code compilation?.

I am trying to use code conversion tool from Simulink to generate C code file. In Simulink model design we do not need to declare data types. However, in C code files we do need it. Do these c-code files we get from matlab Simulink code conversion compliable and ready to use in c-code.
