Simplify/Generalize bwboundaries

huh? What do you mean "generalize"? What isn't generalized about it right now?

It is generalized but I would like to improve further by identifying the corners of the polygon and eliminate the vertices between the corners. New polygon should take the inputs(x,y) from corner points. Is there any method to do like this?
