to find maximum for a particular row.

if i want to find max of a particular row in a 2-d matrix say c.
then will this snip of code work:
for i=1:row
  output(i,3)=max(c(i,:));
 end

Yes, but that would find the maximum of a number of other rows along the way.

max(c(row,:))
