Displaying Smallest Value?

I have experimental data that I want to match with a database of references. My program will consist of a while loop and calculation of RMSE of Experimental vs Reference A, Exp vs Ref B, Exp vs Ref C,...etc.

What code line(s) should I use to make the while loop choose the reference that has the least RMSE with respect to the experimental data so I can display it?
