Embedded Coder: How to modify SimulinkGlobal-variables in the generated Code

How can I change "SimulinkGlobal" variables in the C++ Code generated by Embedded Coder?
I want to set up values for the variables in the ert_main-file of the code.
Is this even possible or do I need to select "Imported Extern" as storage class?
