Tf transfer function replacement

Hello, I would like to use the following function:

Fostercauer

but I do not posses Control Toolbox so no tf and tfdata functions.

How to write this part of code without tf but to mantain functionality:

totalsys=0;
for i=1:length(G)    
    sys=tf(1,[C(i,1) G(i,1)]);    
    totalsys = totalsys + sys;
end
[num den] = tfdata(totalsys,'v');
