I have the following ode:
dy/dt = (4t^2)-.5y
with y(0)=2,
I need to use Eulers method to solve it with a time step of 1. I need to write out 3 steps to get values of y(1), y(2), and y(3).
Every code that i've seen is dependent on the syms command, which i cannot use with the version of matlab that i have. Any help to get started would be greatly appreciated.

Surely you have learned what Euler's method is in class? If not, then do some reading.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euler_method
In there, you will find good examples of Euler's method. So you need to make an effort. If and when you actually have a MATLAB question, then ask it.
