selectmovereset does not work with uicontrols in a uibuttongroup

I am having problems implementing the property 'ButtonDownFcn', 'selectmoveresize' with uicontrols whose parent is a uibuttongroup.

I am able to select the togglebuttons, but cannot move or resize them.
