Where is the Horizontal property for area plots

I'm trying to create graphics for a presentation involving many inequalities. Several charts define x<=max and x>=min. I've been using area(...) for all other ordinary inequalities, ax+by<=c y~=0. Before I write a custom patch function to handle this case, I thought I'd ask where this "Horizontal" property is supposed to be located.
- BaseLine — Baseline, This property is read-only. Baseline object. For a list of baseline properties, see Baseline Properties .
- BaseValue — Baseline value, Baseline value, specified as a numeric scalar value. The baseline value that you specify applies to either the x-axis or the y-axis depending on the bar chart orientation. If you change the orientation of the bar chart from vertical to horizontal, or vice versa, the baseline value might change. Set the BaseValue property after setting the Horizontal property.
The Horizintal property is no where to be found in the area object or the baseline parameter. I see horizontal when creating a bar object, though.

I did no more than just checking to see that area is, indeed, an m-file; you might look at it a little more and see if it would be be relatively painless to add the functionality to it.
