Hi,
I'm trying to install Matlab 2007 student version.
I get this error: There was an unexpected exception. See the log file (C:\Users\DENISR~1\AppData\Local\Temp\activation.log) for more details.
This is what the log says:
(Mar 21, 2011 11:26:32) THE ACTIVATOR IS EXITTING WITH A STATUS OF (Mar 21, 2011 11:26:56) THE ACTIVATOR IS STARTING UP. (Mar 21, 2011 11:26:56) Arguments: -root e:\apps\matlab -nomatlab (Mar 21, 2011 11:26:56) null java.awt.Dimension.<init>(Unknown Source) javax.swing.plaf.basic.BasicProgressBarUI.getPreferredSize(Unknown Source) javax.swing.JComponent.getPreferredSize(Unknown Source) java.awt.GridBagLayout.GetLayoutInfo(Unknown Source) java.awt.GridBagLayout.getLayoutInfo(Unknown Source) java.awt.GridBagLayout.preferredLayoutSize(Unknown Source) java.awt.Container.preferredSize(Unknown Source) java.awt.Container.getPreferredSize(Unknown Source) javax.swing.JComponent.getPreferredSize(Unknown Source) javax.swing.JRootPane$RootLayout.preferredLayoutSize(Unknown Source) java.awt.Container.preferredSize(Unknown Source) java.awt.Container.getPreferredSize(Unknown Source) javax.swing.JComponent.getPreferredSize(Unknown Source) java.awt.BorderLayout.preferredLayoutSize(Unknown Source) java.awt.Container.preferredSize(Unknown Source) java.awt.Container.getPreferredSize(Unknown Source) java.awt.Window.pack(Unknown Source) com.mathworks.activation.StudentActivationServiceWrapper.showStatus(StudentActivationServiceWrapper.java:537) com.mathworks.activation.StudentActivationServiceWrapper.bind(StudentActivationServiceWrapper.java:65) com.mathworks.activation.StudentActivator.initialActivation(StudentActivator.java:178) com.mathworks.activation.StudentActivator.showGUI(StudentActivator.java:107) com.mathworks.activation.StudentActivator.main(StudentActivator.java:388)
How can I fix this? I am using Windows 7. I understand that this may be an issue with it being an older version, however I have tried running it in compatibility mode and I get the same error.

Unless you find help here, I would recommend contacting Installation/Licensing Support.
