Isn't a numeric ODE solver (like ODE45) always discrete ?
Or what exactly do you mean by "discrete" ?
Best wishes

You can use discrete (no continous state) solver if your model only contains discrete states. Please refer to this link to appropriately select the solver based on your model specification: https://www.mathworks.com/help/simulink/ug/choose-a-solver.html
ODE45 is a numerical solver for ordinary differential equations (ODEs) that uses an adaptive step size method, specifically the Dormand-Prince method, which is a member of the Runge-Kutta family of solvers. It provides a continuous solution by interpolating between the points it computes.
I hope it helps!
