Is swt same as algorithm atrous?

I need to implement algorithm atrous to get time invariant wavelet decomposed signals.Is it the same as applying swt? Can somebody explain? I saw somewhere that for atrous algorithm I need to append zeros into the filter impulse response as the decomposition scale increases. Is this happening aotumatically if I decompose upto k levels using swt?
