GUI debugging while using a toggle button

I am having a problem finding a specific line in a huge messy code.

I have a GUI that have a toggle button, and every time I scroll a different option it erases the last data.

Do anyone knows a debugging in order to realize what causes this erasing event?

Using break points in the callback to that toggle button would be a start.
