Extract the particular element from the cell array

I have cell array a = {'abd', 'abd\cd\def.mdl', 'abc\efg'}

I want to remove the element ending with 'mdl' and also element without '\'.

Finally my answer should be,

a = {'abc\efg'}

How can i do this using regexp or any other method?
