If anyone can help conceptually,

I have a code which models the light coming from a source normally (In terms of frequency and Wavelength) If I want to tilt the light source by let say 25 degrees instead of normal incident. How exactly should I model this angle thing in mathematical terms. Any particular concepts that I should look for?
