can anyone describe the image segmentation and detection techniques used in viptrackpeople.mdl.

i am unable to zero in on the image segmentation and detection techniques used in viptrackpeople.mdl simulink model, used as an example in matlab ( can be found in matlab 7.11.0(R2010b) through product help). So could anyone please point me towards the right direction regarding this issue. Thank you.

It's the Mathworks' demo, right? So why not call them? (Because I don't have Simulink and I have no idea what " zero in on" means to you.)

Abhilash - you want to know which techniques are used in the demo to identify and track people in a video, right? The demo description explains which blocks are used and how. You can look up what each block such as 'Blob Analysis' does in the documentation. You will need to own the Computer Vision System Toolbox to access these blocks and run the model, I believe.
