Set Default Print Option to Color

When I use the print button on the figure (i.e. the GUI), I can't seem to get it to default to color printing. I instead have to go into the settings, and the appearance tab and click color, instead of monochrome which is the default. Anybody know of a way around this?
Thanks
Justin

The print button of which figure? How does the callback function of the button start the printing?
If you use Windows, print -dwinc should be useful.

I'm using a mac. The problem I'm having is after making a plot (e.g., Figure 1). In the toolbar that's above the individual figure, there's a print button. Clicking that opens a dialog box. I'm forced to go into the "appearance" tab and set it to color if I don't want it to default to monochrome.
