how to write the matlab code for the sum function

this is the summation that I want to use :
sgn is the sign function , x(t) is a vector of length T I have matlab version 2013 thank you

I suspect that it's x that is a vector of length T and that x(t) is scalar.
Anway, what is the difficulty you're encountering? This seems like a very easy sum to write so not being able to write it would indicate you need to learn the basics of matlab.

thank you for your reply I appreciate the fact that you are judging me in that way , anyway, it is not "a shame" for me to learn even if it is a basic thing . another remarque : t is also from 1 to T. Best regards
What have you done so far? What specific problems are you having with your code?
I have found the solution ; it's ok . we have to do 2 for loops that's all . I didn't know that if we are new at something means it's a "shame", I'm kind of disappointed. anyway thank you James for your help .
