COM Interface calls "wrong" matlab version (c#)

Hi, i'm trying to call a matlab script from c# via the COM interface, but at runtime the "wrong" version of matlab is called. There are multiple versions of matlab installed, but i am using the COM reference of 2017a (9.2). This is also the registered server version (via regmatlabserver), but the program calls 2012b (8.0). Any ideas what's going wrong and/or how to fix this?
