get frame of a video

how to get frame of a video 1 by 1 and then its image so that i can calculate mu and sigma of its each pixel.

See my demo: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/5551-video-processing-in-matlab It does that. The only thing you need to add is to call std() to get the mean of the frame.
