it's more like how to get the average plot from multiple plots (multiple waves )

You can use mean(). For example

signal1 = [1 x n vector]
signal2 = [1 x n vector]
signal3 = [1 x n vector]

first combine then in a matrix

signals = [signal1; signal2; signal3]

and then use mean() to get the average signal

avgSignal = mean(signals)

Note that all signals need to be of the same length. If they have different then first use iterp1 to make their number of elements equal.
