I'm looking for a method to convert (or read directly) DEXA-derived images saved as .dfp files

Can you provide more details? What are "DEXA derived images" and which ".dfp" format do you mean? Note that a 3-character file extension is not a unique definition of a format.

DEXA stands for dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry, so an "x-ray" technique for assessing bone density. I wasn't aware of different dfp formats....so I suspect one that is applicable for image processing?

@Blair: Of course I can start some searches in the internet until I find out, what you might want. But it would be much more efficient, if you provide the details, because it is your problem and you are the only one, who knows the details exactly. So please post some more details. Can you import the input files already? With which program do you create them? Did you search in the net for a converter already? Did you ask the manufacturer of the software already? What do you want to convert? Is dfp the input or the output format?

Is .dpf similar to DPX file formats for storing color density and sequential image files? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Picture_Exchange

are you sure it is a dexa-derived image? I am trying to also load data from a .dfp file but I am not even sure what the dfp stands for. Have you found any info on how to import it in matlab?
