Download the file ‘Loading.txt’ from Blackboard. The file contains the load distribution on a joint. The first column contains the position data (in meters) and the second column contains the load distribution in N/m.
a. In MATLAB, load the contents of the file and plot the distributed load as a function of position.
b. Using the function ‘trapz’, find the magnitude of the resultant force.
c. Find the location of the resultant force.

trapz(Position, Load)
perhaps.

Only if the force vector is consistently negative on one side and consistently positive on the other, then finding the zero crossing might make sense as a location. But otherwise I do not think I understand what "location" means in the sense of a 1D vector.
