Continuously plot data from file

Hey there,

I have a cpp programm that writes data to a file. Now while this data is written to the file I want to use matlab to read the data and plot the data live.

So whenever the file is extended by a new value matlab should read that new value and just extend the current plot by this new value.

Any ideas how to do that? Is that at all possible cause 2 Programm need access to the same file?
