GUI compiling with Symbolic math toolbox

Can't we Compile a Matlab GUI that is using functions from Symbolic math toolbox eg "symsum".. If yes is'nt there any other alternative... If NO why am i encountering such problem i'm using R2011b.

No, the Symbolic Toolbox cannot be compiled in any MATLAB version that has ever been released.

Whether there are alternatives depends a great deal on what you are trying to do. If your purpose is higher precision arithmetic, then there are some FEX contributions to do that.

I want to add a splash screen to my gui, that may contain a graphical image ,illustrating the gui...how can i do this??..please help me out Thanks
