what is the Difference between atomic subsystem and Non-atomic subsystem in code generation?

I have tried generating code for an Atomic subsystem and a non-atomic subsystem putting the same logic inside of it. But when compared i couldn't find any difference in the code [ using Embedded Coder]. Anybody tell me what is exactly the difference between them.
