Matlab keeps renaming my files in camel case
Afficher commentaires plus anciens
Hi, I am using MATLAB 2011a, and I have a function file ClassifyEdges.m which i want to rename to classifyedges.m. I have renamed the function, but, everytime I rename the file, MATLAB renames it back.
Thanks, sofia.

close it in the editor - rename it in explorer and then reopen it. Its a quirk I've seen before in the editor.

I believe that the NTFS (aka Windows) file system is case preserving and case insensitive while ext4 (aka Linux) is case preserving and case sensitive. What this means is that on NTFS ClassifyEdges.m and classifyedges.m are the same. If you rename ClassifyEdges.m to temp.m to classifyedges.m you should be okay. The key is the file system gets confused when you try and rename a file with the same name and while ClassifyEdges.m and classifyedges.m don't look the same to us, they do look the same to the filesystem.
