Error using windows system command "wmic"

I want to run the standard windows dos command "wmic" within MATLAB:

[sts, commandout] = dos(' wmic path win32_perfformatteddata_perfproc_process GET IDProcess, Name, PercentProcessorTime /VALUE')

I receive the error: "WMIC: Unknown WMIC Exception."

When I run the command in the command shell, it works.
