plotting date from datetime array

I have a date time array which has dates in the format of dd-MM-yy. This data also has NATs.

i would like to create a graph which shows how many intances a particular year has.

so year would be along the X asis and the Y axis would be number of instances.

I have tried.

>> histogram(d.year)

d being my datetime array

the Data looks like this:

I get the error

Unrecognized property: 'year'.

'Y' should be a captal letter. Please try:

histogram(d.Year)
