The time step doesn't seem to produce a different series of plots when a figure is produced?

Sorry this is really badly expained but I'm trying to use Matlab for the first time.
I do a model run for a certain set of data that I have already put in and need to produce a figure showing the general elevation change.
I use the hold on function which should do the trick.
What seems to be the problem is everytime I plot a different timestep it produces the same graph and has the same data even though it is labelled as a different timesetp. It seems to be replicated and not actually showing the change over each new timestep file.
Really not sure what to do?

We'll need to see your code and some of the data but in order to reduce our workload, it would be best if you could put together a minimal working example that demonstrates the problem. That may just involve isolating the relevant section of your code and providing us with the inputs needed to run it.
