Large Ratios to decimal

I'm trying to plug in values into an equation but the output is giving me the answer in terms of large ratios instead of in decimal form. How do I tell Matlab to give me an answer in decimal format?

If this is a purely numeric question, then Paulo's answer of changing your format is the one to look at.

If this is something computed using the symbolic toolbox, then use double() to convert the number to a MATLAB double precision number, or use vpa() to evaluate to a symbolic number with as many decimal places as you wish to see the answer to.
