how to store data from a for loop

i have a for loop

for i =0:1023 data =i putvalue (dio, data)

start (ai); % starting analog input data1= getdata(ai)% acquiring data for DAQ

% here, i want to store data1 in a matrix so that for every value of "i" the data is stored in the matrix at different location so that i can directly plot that matrix ...

end
