Freescale: Is CodeWarrior supported by EmbeddedCoder?

To whom it may concern,
I am planning to purchase MPC55xxEVB kit with the processor MPC5534. It seems that Embedded Coder supports this processor family. As for the IDE, not sure if we go with GreenHills or CodeWarrior. I am not very familiar with freescale products. If we only purchase CodeWarrior, will it be enough to work with this processor?

I could be wrong, but according to the Supported Hardware page, Simulink has only basic support for MPC55xx processors - it has additional support (ie. driver blocks, etc.) only for MPC 5xx boards, for which you can use the CodeWarrior interface. However, if you don't intend to use any driver blocks for your board, you might still be able to use CodeWarrior to compile your code. I would recommend calling MathWorks Sales Support and getting a trial license first so you can evaluate what other software you might need to purchase.
